My college life experience tells me that it is better not to mss classes. It is so not because of that you may be punished, however, the punishment may also be rather serious, it is because of you will have to suffer during the preparation t he examination because of when you miss classes, you do not receive some amount of information which was explained during the class. The more missed lessons the more material you have to master by yourself.
That is why I have to decided that it is better not to miss classes and to be rather attentive during them if you want not to get in a trouble at the examination. Do not burden yourself with the amount of information you have to master before the examination because of the missed classes. It seems to me that it is much more convenient to revise the material than to study it form the very beginning.
After I have stopped to miss classes, my college results have been increased to a great deal. Moreover, I have forgotten how it is to study at night before the day of the examination. Hope my college experience will help you in some way.
